Dear Caron,
I am an RN and just started a new job in a mental health facility. The focus is on children and adolescence. We do a daily "group" with them. We may pick the topic the only criteria being "education" of some sort. I wanted to offer some valuable coping skills kids could use. So, I went to the computer and spent over an hour clicking on lists of Internet items looking for help. I was getting very tired and needed to go to bed. When bingo" I found your article on kids, trauma, and coping skills! I just wanted to say a great big thank-you for your helpful article!
Sincerely ,
Charlotte Rogers

While we run regular columns from Anna Stewart on pregnancy, this magazine presents more in-depth information on health, book reviews, mental health and moving through pregnancy with style. We want to know if you like this specialized by topic version of the magazine. So please VOTE for your favorite articles and let us know your preferences.

Thank you,

Dr. Caron Goode

Depression can stem from many different reasons - hormonal imbalances, diet, emotional stress, medical conditions, physical ailments, environment and postpartum (the time period after giving birth). Preventing Type II Diabetes

Review By Rick & Jan Hansen

We've got two kids, ages 1 and 3, and I'm about 20 pounds heavier today than I was before my first pregnancy. I feel run-down and often a little blue, so I "feed my sweet tooth" probably more than is good for me. I'm a little worried about where all this is going...Read on...

Raise your hands if you've ever had to guess the flavor of an unlabeled jar of baby food, felt compelled to exclaim over a 'cake' made of disposable diapers or cringed while you listened to a mother share how horrible her birth was at a baby shower?  Read on...
